Recommended height: 1.5 m above the floor.
Do not mount the devices in recesses, shelves, behind curtains or doors, or above or
near heat sources.
Avoid direct solar radiation and drafts.
Avoid unheated (uncooled) building area such as outside walls.
Seal the conduit box or the installation tube if any, as air currents can affect sensor read-
ings.
Adhere to allowed ambient conditions.
An external room temperature sensor is recommended if above situations cannot be
avoided in the installation area.
A mounting plate is provided to fit onto a square conduit box with 60.3 mm fixing centers. A
conduit box of at least 50 mm in depth to accommodate all wire connections is recommend-
ed.
After installing the mounting plate, wire all terminals of the unit. Secure the unit to the mount-
ing plate as described in the installation and operating instructions (Document ID:
A6V12101243) enclosed with the unit.
WARNING
Wire, protect and earth in compliance with local regulations.
Risk of fire and injury due to short-circuits!
Adapt the line diameters as per local regulations to the rated value of the installed over-
current protection device.
The AC 230 V mains supply line must have an external circuit breaker with a rated cur-
rent of no more than 10 A.
Use only valve actuators rated for AC 230 V.
Disconnect from supply before removing the unit from its mounting plate.
Isolate the cables of Modbus communication input A+, B- and REF for AC 230 V.
Commissioning
After power-up, all LCD segments light up for about 3 seconds. Afterwards, the VRF HMI
unit starts in Normal mode to display the current room temperature, user navigation icons
and status of the application according to the factory settings. Then the unit is ready for
commissioning by qualified HVAC staff.
The control parameters of unit can be adjusted to ensure optimum performance of the entire
system (see Control parameters [ 6]).
Sensor calibration
The unit has an internal sensor for accurate temperature display. If the temperature display
is influenced by its installation location, calibrate the sensor via parameter P05 to adjust the
readings.
Setpoint and range limitation
For comfort and to save energy, we suggest to review all setpoint related parameters and
adapt them as needed.
Error handling
Sensor error
“Er1” is displayed when the internal sensor does not work properly.
TOUCH IC error
“Er2” is displayed upon an error in the internal TOUCH IC.
