Series 4292 Sensors Offer Proven Performance
• The Series 4292 Wireless Sensor concept has been
validated via Fast Accelerated Life Testing
• Firmware on test units was modified to change
packet transmission interval from 1 per 66s to 1 per
143ms
• Test represented an acceleration factor of 462,
resulting in the sensor transmitting as many
packets in one day as a normal sensor will transmit
in 15 months
• Sleep current and battery self-discharge current
were also subject to an acceleration factor of 462
• Test ran continuously for approximately 21 days
• Data logging in 15 minute increments confirmed the
3.5V battery slipped below 3.4V after a simulated 25
years of operation
