How is 25 Year Battery Life Realized?
• Series 4292 Wireless Sensors are engineered
for very low power consumption which enables
dramatic improvements in battery life vs. other
wireless sensors
• Batteries are rated for a 40 year shelf life
• Super capacitors are used to allow quick
bursts of power for data transmission
• Sensors “wake up” at pre-configured intervals to
read and transmit data
• Between transmissions the sensor is in a very
low power “idle” state
• In many applications the duty cycle is less than
0.1% which means the sensor is in low power
idle mode >99.9% of the time
NOTE: QPA4292.EWSC CO2 sensor uses 3 replaceable AAA
lithium ion batteries to achieve a 15 year battery life at 4 minute
default data transmission interval.
