Connect room group components
The following room group components are assigned the respective inputs or
outputs:
• Mixing valve
• Flow sensor
• Return sensor
• Room group pump
The components can be connected for room groups 1 and 2.
On the room group components, the respective input and output
functions must be set to "Via RF", enabling an input or output of a
heating circuit controller or multi-controller to be assigned to them.
Connect output for the mixing valve
Inform the central apartment unit that you want to assign the output of a multi-
controller to a room group for the control of a mixing valve:
Main menu > Commissioning > RF connections > Room groups
> Room group X > Mixing valve > Connect device:
Mixing valves can only be connected via an RRV934 multi-controller.
For control of the mixing valve, a universal output Ux (DC 0..10 V) or
the 3-position output (Q4/Q5) of the multi-controller can be used.
Mixing valve, flow and return sensor of the same room group must be
connected to the same multi-controller.
Connect universal output Ux (DC 0..10 V) of the multi-controller
Confirm subentry “Connect device“ by pressing the Menu/ok button. To make
the connection, you are then prompted to press the binding button on the
multi-controller.
Use the channel selection button (CH) on the multi-controller to select the
required Ux channel. The LED of the selected channel blinks. If the selected
channel is not yet connected, the binding LED starts flashing.
Now, press the binding button on the multi-controller. The LED lights up
green. When it starts blinking, you can release the binding button.
A successful connection appears on the display of the central apartment unit
and confirmed with a beep. Close the binding process by pressing the
Menu/ok button.
Connect the 3-position output (Q4/Q5) of the multi-controller
Confirm subentry “Connect device“ by pressing the Menu/ok button. To make
the connection, you are then prompted to press the binding button on the
multi-controller.
Use the channel selection button (CH) on the multi-controller to select channel
group Q4/Q5. The LEDs of the selected channel group start blinking (Q4 and
Q5). If the selected channel group is not yet connected, the binding LED starts
flashing.
