Mounting the PXC Compact in an
Enclosure
WARNING:
Turn OFF AC power to the enclosure at the
circuit breaker panel.
Steps for Installing with a DIN Rail
1. Attach the DIN rail to the backplane of the
enclosure.
2. Align the channel on the back of the PXC
Compact with the DIN rail (see Figure 1).
3. Push in each mounting tab until it clips onto the
DIN rail.
4. Continue with Completing the Installation.
Steps for Installing without a DIN Rail
NOTE: Use the 3/8” self-tapping screws and, if
necessary, the 1-3/4” self-drilling screws for
this installation.
1. Carefully align the mounting holes of the PXC
Compact with holes in the perforated backplane
of the enclosure.
2. If necessary, drill holes to match the PXC
Compact mounting holes with the backplane.
3. Secure the controller using the provided 3/8”
screws and, if necessary, the 1-3/4” screws.
4. Continue with Completing the Installation.
Completing the Installation
Terminate wires to both the 24 Vac connector
and the appropriate point connectors (see
Figure 2 and Figure 3).
NOTE: Do not connect power to the PXC
Compact at this time.
CAUTION:
Adjacent point connections on the PXC
Compact share a Common termination
(see Figure 3).
For specific wiring diagrams, see the APOGEE
Wiring Guidelines for Field Panels and
Equipment Controllers (125-3002).
The installation is now complete.
