4.3 Analog inputs for DC 0...10 V / 5 V
Use
The configurable inputs of POL46X controllers can be used as analog inputs for
the standard DC 0...10 V (including 0…5 V) signal.
Connection example
Active ratio-metric sensors (0…5 V) powered by DC 5 V
The following illustration shows the wiring of a ratio-metric sensor powered by on-
board DC 5 V.
Active sensors, DC 0…10 V
The following illustration shows the wiring of active sensors (measured value
transmitters) with an external power supply (for example AC 24 V or DC 24 V) ,
connected to a POL46X controller.
WARNING
1. The ground is connected to earth for the C400 controllers and is of the same
potential for all M terminals.
2. The power supply (DC 24 V) for the C400 controllers and measured value
transmitters can be connected to the same DC 24 V power supply as long as the
grounding concepts for both devices (controllers and sensors) are the same.
3. If sensors are powered by AC 24 V, then the C400 controllers need the same
grounding concept as the sensors.
