Prerequisites

respective in
stallation instru ctions.
For Canadia n Installations: In order
to comply with the requirements of
ULC ORD C100 for smoke control,
the enclosure containing the Firefinder
XLS D river must be installed adjacent
to the Firefinder XLS panel, and the
interconnecting wiring must be enclosed
in a metallic conduit.
• FLN Termination blocks insta lled, if any.
• One 115V or 230V receptacle (depending on
device) to power the Trunk Interfa ce II.

Connecting the FireFinder XLS
Driver to the FireFinder XLS System
Follow these steps to connect the FireFinder XLS
Driver to th e FireFinder XLS system:
1. Make cables per dia gram in Fig u re 1.
2. Install the Trunk Interface II per diagram in
Figure 1.
3. Connect cabl
es per diagram in Figure 1.
For the location of the RPM RS-232 connections,
see Figure 2 and the RPM Installation Instructions.
4. Plug in power supply for the Trunk Interface II per
diagram in Figure 1.
