CAUTION
Always wear an electro-static discharge
(ESD) wrist strap and discharge
accumulated static before touching field
panel components.
Prerequisites
 Driver hardware is installed according to its
respective installation instructions.
NOTE for Canadian Installations:
In order to comply with the requirements
of ULC ORD C100 for smoke control, the
enclosure containing the Firefinder XLS
Driver must be installed adjacent to the
Firefinder XLS panel, and the
interconnecting wiring must be enclosed
in a metallic conduit.
• FLN Termination Blocks installed, if
any.
• One 115V or 230V receptacle
(depending on device) to power the
Trunk Interface II.
Depending on the type of installation, other
prerequisites may have to be completed.
Connecting the FireFinder XLS
Driver to the FireFinder XLS
System
Follow these steps and refer to Figure 1 to connect
the driver to the FireFinder XLS panels:
1. Make cables per the following diagram.
2. Install the Trunk Interface II per the diagram.
3. Connect cables per the diagram.
4. Plug in the power supply for the Trunk Interface II
per the diagram.
The installation is now complete.
