P

W
tot
= P x t = 32 W x (24 h x 365 d) = 280.32 kWh per DALI line!
In large functional buildings such as hotels, schools and offices with
unused rooms, e. g. on weekends or at night, the standby function of
the KNX/DALI Gateway can boost the operational efficiency and service
life of devices. As soon as all ECGs are not required for lighting in a defined
area, the ECGs can be disconnected from the power supply via a switch-off
command from a switching actuator. If one or more lights are in operation,
the power supply of the ECG is restored by the switching actuator and
the luminaire is dimmed to the required brightness value by the gateway.
Energy-saving regulations (relating to electricity in buildings and lighting)
limit the kilowatt hour per square meter (kWh/m²). These values can
be reached more easily thanks to the standby switch-off function.
Some local energy-saving regulations prescribe maximum standby
consumption of 0.5 W per device.
Energy savings by standby switch-off
Example:
Per DALI line, 64 sets of ECG at 0.5 W
are connected. Each year, this equates
to annual consumption of 280.32 kWh.
