The new switching actuators with

four, eigh and twelve channels for

16/20 amperes are ideal for high,

capacitive, inductive, and resistive

loads – in particular for switching

loads with high inrush currents. Slide

switches on the front of the devices

enable efficient commissioning and

testing of the installation.

systems when displaying and monitor-

ing loads in buildings and systems.

The new devices also feature operat-

ing hour and switching cycle counting

functions with threshold monitoring

for the maintenance of the systems.

Load current monitoring

With the additional load current monitor-

ing, changes in the load behavior can

also be identified. With this function,

building complexes can be efficiently

tained by enabling the display of the

failure of equipment, interruption of

a circuit, or contact errors.

Typical application of the new switching actuators Via monitors, the building manager has the ability to monitor and maintain the entire system with regard to load behavior, operating hours, and switching cycle counting. The load current is recorded and monitored within the defined threshold values. If values go above or below the thresholds, a preventive warning is sent to the building manager. Evaluation of the operating hours and switching cycle counting enables scheduling of regular maintenance.

Comprehensive diagnostic functions In addition to the familiar diagnostic functions such as operating hour and switching cycle counting, the new switching actuators also feature load current detection and monitoring. All automation functions can be activated via the ETS without additional modules or controllers, i.e., in the same device. Loads such as lighting can be switched via display and control devices or through the evaluation of sensor data.
