Fume Hood Controller Enclosure

Product Description

The Fume Hood Controller Enclosure is a general

purpose meal cabinet with a removable cover that

houses the Fume Hood Controller Board. The Fume

Hood Controller Enclosure is designed for a variety

of mounting configurations. The only restriction is

that the enclosure be securely fastened and

accessible for service.

Required Tools

• Medium-duty electric drill

• 1/2-inch (13mm) drill bit

• Level

• Marker

• Medium flat-blade screwdriver

Prerequisites

• Avoid mounting enclosure near large motors

or radio equipment.

• Avoid mounting enclosure in an area where it

might be disturbed during normal

maintenance on the fume hood.

• Maximum cable length between the controller

enclosure and the fume hood operator panel

is 50 feet (15m).

NOTE:

When mounting the enclosure, allow

adequate clearance the sides of the

enclosure in order to tighten the cover

screws.

Instructions

1. Remove the enclosure cover.

2. Remove the appropriate conduit knockouts

(Figure 1).

3. On the wall or the surface on which you will

mount the enclosure, measure and mark a level

line 6 feet (1.8m) above the floor. See Figure 2.

Document No. 537-753 Installation Instructions Rev. 3, February, 2000 4. Align the top edge of the enclosure on the level line made in Step 3. Mark the position of the two mounting holes on the rear panel of the enclosure. See Figure 1. 5. Drill the two mounting holes. Insert the wall anchors. 6. Place the washers on the mounting bolts. Mount the enclosure on the wall. 7. Replace the enclosure cover and tighten the cover screws. The installation is complete. Figure 2. Enclosure Wall Placement.
