Connecting Power
1. Install the four NiMh batteries in the holder.
Remove the battery cover on the Alnor Digital
Pressure Meter. Make sure the battery switch is
set for “NiMh” and install batteries.
CAUTION:
If you install alkaline batteries in the Alnor
Digital Pressure Meter, change the battery
switch setting to alkaline or the batteries
may overheat and initiate a safety
shutdown.
2. Plug the female end of the power cord into the
power adapter located on the panel inside the
calibrator (
Figure 4). Plug the adapter cord into
the D/P meter.
Figure 4. Power Connection.
3. Plug the power cord into a 110 Vac wall outlet.
The RPT calibrator must be set at the same
elevation (± 6 inches) as the RPT sensor; otherwise,
the measurements may be incorrect. For example, if
the sensor is located near the top of a wall, the RPT
calibrator should be set on a stable device, such as
a ladder, that will allow the RPT calibrator to be at
the same elevation as the sensor.
Applying Power
4. Toggle the power switch on the RPT calibrator
to the ON position (
Figure 5). The pump will turn
on.

5. With the D/P meter in the case, connect the
black tubing between the input ports on the
calibrator and the two ports on the plenum.
(
Figure 6 and Figure 7).
NOTE: The first port (nearest the mounting
bracket) is connected between the
vacuum pump and the rear plenum. The
second port is connected to the meter
plus (+) port when the D/P meter is in the
case.

6. To use the D/P meter outside the calibrator
case, connect the first port (nearest to mounting
