Insight Enhanced Graphics Option
Description
The Enhanced Graphics Option (EGO) for Insight
allows you to enhance Insight Graphics with state-of-
the-art graphics elements designed to convey a wide
range of building performance information. While EGO
includes a library of pre-canned charts and gauges, it
also provides ultimate flexibility by allowing unlimited
customization capabilities.
The typical users are Facilities Engineers and Building
Operators, who have expressed interest in having
access to these controls to support a simple
“dashboard” in their office. This dashboard can also be
used to monitor energy usage or other point data in
their APOGEE Automation System, providing
advanced visualization, and a new look and feel to the
Graphics application. These graphic elements facilitate
real-time visualization and alarming of unlimited
APOGEE point data. With the appropriate metering
and sensing infrastructure in place, track and monitor
energy usage, weather, chiller plant and air handler
efficiency, emissions, and other APOGEE data.
Features
Pre-canned library of controls - Provides default
templates as a starting point for creation. Saves time
when creating controls and provides a foundation to
build upon.
The Graphics Insert menu has been updated with a
new Enhanced Graphics Option item, from which
you can create the following:
• Gauges: Angular, Bulb, Cylinder, Linear, and
Thermometer.
• Charts: 2D, 3D Column, and Pie.
Elements Available
Gauges - You can create the following types of
gauges with the Enhanced Graphics Option:
• Angular - Displays point data using an indicator
that moves within a circular range to indicate
whether or not the monitored point is within
defined limits.
• Bulb - Indicates a specific point data set. The
circle changes color to indicate whether or not
monitored data is within the defined limits and if
so, which limit it's in.
