All changes of a supervised object are tracked
automatically by increments in the revision number,
and include the reason for change, the current value,
and the previous value in the System Activity Log. This
information is displayed in the System Activity Log, on
PPCL programs, on printed graphics, and on the
following reports:

Supervised Object Indicator Icons
For easy identification, the Compliance Support Option
(CSO) uses icons to indicate if an object is supervised.
If supervised, the object has an associated icon that
displays at the bottom of the application screen. The
following icons indicate the Supervision levels:

Supervision Level
The object is supervised.
The object is supervised and requires the
password of the user currently logged on.
The object is supervised and requires a
supervisor password. You can double-
click on this icon for a list of available
supervisors.
Program Editor, Report Builder, System Profile, and
User Accounts.
Enhanced Audit Trail via System Activity Log
The following fields are added to the System Activity
Log when the Compliance Support Option is enabled:
Property. Displays the property of a
supervised object that was changed.
Before. Displays the value of a supervised
object’s Property before the change/deletion.
After. Displays the value of a supervised
object’s Property after the change/deletion.
Reason for Change. Displays why a change
to or deletion of a supervised object was
made, or more information on why an action
was performed.
Authorized By. Displays the supervisor
account that authorized the change to or
deletion of a supervised object. If there is no
supervisor required for the supervised object,
this field is left blank.
Location. Displays the workstation or field
panel where a user performed an Action on a
supervised object. If a user is logged in via
Terminal Server, this field contains the name
of the terminal client (that is, the computer the
user was at when making the change), not the
name of the Terminal Server.
Revision Number. Displays the number of
times the supervised object was changed.
Compliance Solutions
The Compliance Support Option for Insight software is
an integral component to the overall APOGEE
Compliance Solution Set. In combination with the
standard Insight workstation, InfoCenter Suite, and
field panel features and options, the Compliance
Support Option enables customers to meet strict
guidelines and requirements for maintaining secured
electronic records, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
