Product Description

lnsight for Minicomputers Software Revision K.0 is

a mandatory software upgrade for every system

under warranty or under a software service

agreement. Revision K.0 provides software

corrections and enhancements for existing systems.

To upgrade to Revision K.0, the system must

already be running one of the following Insight for

Minicomputers software revisions:

• J.8

• pre-release K.0

Document No. 541-865 Installation Instructions Rev. 4, March, 2000 • If you are loading from a TK25 tape, then type /INI/VER/REW MS0: DU0: and press . • If you are loading from a TK50 tape cartridge, then type /INI/VER/REW MU0: DU0: and press . Wait for the BRU COMPLETE message and the BRU prompt (BRU >). Press CTRL+Z. Wait for the " >” prompt and remove the Revision K.0 Master tape from the drive. 12. Boot the system. When the time prompt appears, abort the start-up.

Log onto an MCR terminal. 2. Shut down the system. Type @[10,1]KILL and press . 3. Back up the old system.

The following time prompt displays: Hit RETURN and enter date and time as ’TIM HH:MM MM/DD/YY’ 12. Remove the loading tape by pressing the UNLOAD button. Wait until the yellow light stops flashing and the green light labeled “Operate Lever” illuminates before moving the lever to the unlocked position.

The original Revision K.0 tape should be returned to the Branch where it can be used for additional conversions for this system type to Revision K.0. 27. Press ALT+C Choose 4 from the CoProcessor Control Menu to return to DOS. Edit OSPREY.CNF and change the configuration back to Auto Boot. Enter OSPREY at the DOS prompt and press ; the system will begin to boot.
