SMS (text messages)

Writing text messages
A single text message can be up to 160 characters long. If your text is longer, it will
automatically be sent as a linked message. Up to four messages with 153 characters
each can be linked. This means you can enter up to 612 characters. Bear in mind that
linked messages incur correspondingly higher charges.
Write a text messages as follows:
The input language can be changed (not on Gigaset C47H). When you have opened the
input field for the text message, press the
Options display key. From the menu, select
Select Language and then press [ to confirm your selection. Next, select an input
language and confirm your selection with [. Then briefly press the End call key a
twice to return to the input field. The input language setting only applies to the current
SMS.
The EATONI (not Gigaset C47H, see page 109) predictive text feature helps you write
your message. The Ç icon tells you if EATONI is activated (default setting: on). You can
turn EATONI off at any time using
Options, s Predictive Text .

◆ Use 1 to insert a space, and # (press and hold if EATONI is
activated) to toggle between upper case, lower case and digits
(page 108).
◆ If you receive a text message that is incomplete (e. g. because your
telephone memory is full), you will be notified of this.
