Connecting the handset to a PC (optional)
If you connect the handset to a PC using a data cable (available as an
accessory), you can synchronize the handset’s telephone book entries
with your Microsoft Outlook® telephone directory on the PC. To do
this you must install the Siemens SoftDataLink 5.0 software (available
as an accessory) on your PC.
You will then be able to transfer telephone book entries from the hand-
set to the PC, process them there, then transfer them back to the tel-
ephone. You can also transfer entries from the Microsoft Outlook® tel-
ephone directory to the handset and vice versa.
You can even synchronize the telephone book entries of Siemens
mobile phones (S25 model or higher) with your Gigaset 4000 Micro.
This option is only available with Outlook® (not Outlook Express®)
and Microsoft Internet Explorer®.
Connecting the handset to the PC

During data transmission:

All keys are locked except for the “on-hook” key. Data
transmission will be halted if you keep the “on-hook” key
pressed down.
●
The handset is not accessible for calls during data trans-
mission
from the handset
to the PC.
●
No calls can be taken during data transmission
from the
PC
to the handset.
