Saving the prefix (APL)
Prerequisite:
It is necessary for your PABX to enter a
prefix, such as “0”, before the telephone numbers for
external calls.
Open the menu.
Base Settings
Select the menu item and confirm.
Add. Features
Select the menu item and confirm.
Access Code
Select the menu item and confirm.
e.g.

Enter or change the prefix (up to 3 digits).
Open the menu.
Save Entry
Save the setting.
Switching temporarily to tone dialling
If your PABX still operates with dial pulsing (DP) but
tone dialling (DTMF) is required (for example to check
your mailbox) you must switch to tone dialling (DTMF)
during the call.
Prerequisite:
You are conducting a call!
Open the menu.
Temp. Ton e
Tone dialling is active.

When storing numbers in the directory (see
page 26) you must enter the prefix.
For example:
0
089 123456.

The
prefix
that you store here is always inser-
ted and dialled automatically before the tele-
phone numbers in the caller list and the
emergency numbers.

No prefixes must be entered for SMS service
Centre numbers.
Only if your PABX is connected to the
analogue
fixed network
will your Gigaset's mailbox fea-
tures be active.
