Text messages (SMS)
With your Micro handset you can send and receive text
messages (SMS messages). SMS messages can only
be received by devices which support this feature (mo-
bile phones, PCs, other telephones).
Prerequisite:
CLIP
Calling line identification (
CLIP
) and station number
transmission must be enabled at your fixed network
telephone connection.
Ensure that your telephone network provider enabled
these features for your telephone connection.

The SMS messages are stored in your base station.
You can therefore access your SMS messages from
any Gigaset 4000 Micro/Comfort handset. You only
have access to all SMS messages on one handset at a
time (reading, writing, forwarding, etc.).
Writing, storing and sending an SMS
Each SMS may contain no more than 160 characters.
SMS messages are not automatically stored. If you
want to store an important SMS you must do this
be-
fore sending it

Open the menu.
Text Message
Select the text message.
Write Message
Open the input field.
Write the message;
