Addressable technology in an affordable, scalable package
Intelligent fire detection systems allow for faster and more effective
response, but they often come with a serious downside: cost. The
FireSeeker FS-250 puts proven, intelligent technology in a package
that’s cost-effective, easy to install and engineered to grow with
you. For small- to medium-size facilities, it’s the perfect solution.
Smart features
Remote system control
With the FS-250, you don’t have to be at the panel
to control the system. You can use optional, remote
LCD screens to provide firefighters and other safety
personnel access to the same control information
found on the panel. A great way to improve safety
and operation convenience.
SureWire polarity insensitive loop
Wiring allows fire detection devices to operate
flawlessly even when detector and module wiring
polarity are inverted on the wrong terminals.
Use of any existing wire*
The system can be connected to existing field device
and notification circuit wiring to save time and costs
on retrofits. A shielded wire on intelligent detector
loops is not needed.
252 detection devices per loop
Each signaling line circuit supports up to 252
addressable inputs and 252 signal relay outputs for
a total of 504 programmable points on a single loop.
More devices per loop mean less wiring to install.
Device programmer and loop tester unit
This powerful tool saves time by allowing installers
to test and verify correct connection of devices while
installing. Also checks detector loops for ground
faults and shorts.
Serial dialing
The FS-250 can report specific alarms and alarm
locations using optional internal Digital Alarm
Communication Transmitters (DACTs) when the
system dials an outside monitoring service or
central station.
One-person testing
Unlike most systems that require two people for
testing, the FS-250 can be tested by a single person
to avoid disruption.
Suppression system releasing
The FS-250 is a perfect fit for all your suppression
(Sinorix™ Extinguishing Systems) and pre-action
sprinkler applications.
Fully listed
The FS-250 system meets all relevant UL, FM,
NYMEA and CSFM requirements.

The FS-250 eliminates false alarms because FirePrint™
intelligent detector recognizes the difference between
false alarm conditions and genuine fire, and can be set for
any of 11 environments where fires most likely occur.
Thanks to its revolutionary SureWire™ technology, the
FS-250 can help eliminate installation errors and reduce
installation time by up to 25%.* The use of system logic also
makes the FS-250 an economical solution resulting in the
use of fewer devices, less wiring and overall lower cost.
Room to grow
The FS-250 provides up to 252 addressable inputs —
more than enough for a wide range of environments.
Unlike many systems, each input can double as an output,
giving you even more flexibility. The FS-250 is also easy
to customize for any application because it’s compatible
with FirePrint fire detectors and a full range of notification
devices that meet ISO 9001 quality standards and ADA
requirements.
Freedom from hassles
The FireSeeker FS-250 has a powerful, built-in auto-
configuration feature that allows the system to find
all devices connected to it and even create system
alarms. In many environments, your system will need
virtually no manual configuration, making initial
startup fast and efficient. When manual changes or
upgrades are required, your maintenance personnel
or Siemens representative can make them easily
using the panel’s operator interface. We’ve also
created an optional Windows™ software tool that
further simplifies configuration.
Protection for high-value areas
The FS-250 is ideally suited for protecting irreplaceable
items and mission-critical assets. When combined
with Waterless Suppression or sprinkler (Pre-Action or
Deluge) systems, the FS-250 releasing fire protection
system delivers a truly comprehensive and effective
fire-protection plan.
