2.8.5 Compiling a PROFINET IO Device Example Application

1. Start Tornado and open the Tornado Workspace devkit_eb200.wsp

2. Select the Tornado Project devkit_eb200. Following window will be opened:

“ consists 2 projects

• Prelink_PNIO Files Æ project for PROFINET IO Stack and system adaptation

• application Files Æ project for PROFINET IO application

and the Prelink to create an executable VxWorks Image

• eb200_devkit Files Æ Prelink for executable PROFINET IO Image.

3. After changes are made in a projects you should compile all projects again. Select all project in

succession and activate in the menu bar „Build“ Æ „Build“. A new prelink will be created for all projects

which concern the changes.

4. If step 3 was done an executable vxworks image must be created. Select the prelink „eb200_devkit

Files„ and activate „Build“ Æ „Rebuild All“ in the menu bar. The created file called vxworks is stored in

the \Tornado2.2\target\proj\eb200_ devkit\default\ directory.

If changes are made to this project, steps 3 to 4 must be repeated to create a new file that can be downloaded.
