Troubleshooting Compressor Compact
Malfunction Action
The compressor stops; the mains power
lamp stays on:
The thermal switch inside the motor may
have tripped.
115 V version: The thermal switch on the
motor must be reset manually.
230 V version: The thermal switch will
reset automatically and the motor will
restart.
Operating pressure (shown on the mano-
meter) is correct during functional check but
drops when a ventilator is connected:
Too high air consumption. The compressor
cannot supply the equipment connected.
The dust filters or the air inlet filter are
clogged. Clean or replace the filters if
necessary.
Check the operation of the compressor.
Overhaul or replace it if necessary.
The pressure alarm is activated: Too high air consumption. The compressor
cannot supply the equipment connected.
Inspect the internal compressed air tubing.
Clear obstructions, tighten loose connec-
tors and/or replace faulty components.
The dust filters or the air inlet filter are
clogged. Clean or replace the filters if
necessary.
Pressure alarm function faulty. Replace
low pressure switch and/or control section
PC board if necessary.
Check the operation of the compressor.
Overhaul or replace it if necessary.
The thermoelectric cooler is clogged with
ice due to malfunction in the cooler. Check
the function of the cooler temp. switch:
– Connect a voltmeter between the cooler
connection cables at terminal 6.
– Make sure that the voltage to the cooler
switches between approx. 0 V and 12 V.
Normal switch cycle is approx. 1 min
when no compressed air is consumed.
Replace the cooler if necessary.
