Supply air VAV
If the area being served by the DXR is required to provide Demand Control Ventilation
(DCV), then the following Supply Air VAV default values MUST be modified.
Step 1: Check the Supply air VAV max.air vol.flow f.vent for “Avail. on AS”. The
value for DCV should be based on the maximum ventilation airflow rate of 15
CFM/person x number of people in room (e.g., 12 people x 15 CFM/person =180
CFM).
Step 2: Make sure Supply air VAV min. air vol.flow f.vent has the default value set
to 0. (This allows the min setpoints for each occupancy mode, as set in the ventilation
section above, to be in effect.)
Extract air VAV
If the area being served by the DXR is required to have the extract air track the supply
air volume or supply air setpoint (as above), then the following Extract air VAV default
values MUST be modified.
Step 1: Check the box for Extract air VAV max.air vol.flow f.vent for "Available on
AS".
Step 2: Make sure the Extract air VAV min. air vol.flow f.vent has the default value
set to 0.
Step 3: Check the box for Room pressurization mode for “Avail. on AS”.
Step 4: Check the box for Supply air VAV Air volume flow relief for “Avail. on AS”.
Step 5: Set Nominal air volume flow to 0 to allow the percent flow calculations to be
based on the values entered for Max flow setpoints (Max cooling, Max heating, Max
vent).
