To see which of the three remaining possible requirements are required for your
project, you must look at the Title 24 requirements chart typically in the early sheets of
the Mechanical set. The EOR (engineer of record) must include several Title 24
documents in the Mechanical sets, including NRCC-MCH-01E which contains the
Mechanical HVAC Acceptance Tests & Forms table. A sample table is included below.
Mechanical systems are listed in each row and the possible MCH-XX acceptance tests
are listed across the top. If a mechanical test is required on a certain mechanical
system, a ‘X” will be noted in that cell. COMPLETING THIS DOCUMENT IS A
REQUIREMENT OF THE ENGINEER OF RECORD (EOR), NOT SIEMENS. Is it our
job as control contractors to review this matrix and point out any possible issues with to
the Mechanical Contractor, General Contractor, EOR and/or building owner.
