DXR Template Feature Selections
The following feature selections will enable fault detection and diagnostics (FDD)
capability in HvacLgtShd12 (VAV) and HvacLgtShd13 (FPB) application templates.
When enabled, FDD functions run continuously in the DXR.
Prerequisite
The VAV or FPB template to be customized is loaded and accessible in ABT
Site. (See screen captures below.)
FDD Template Selections
Only FDD-required feature selections are provided in this document. Any other
selections are the responsibility of the user, as part of normal configuration of a DXR.
Step 1 On-board outputs
Select the appropriate on-board outputs to support your terminal box type: single-duct
VAV, dual-duct VAV, or fan-powered VAV. (extract duct VAV is also supported)
Note, Dual Max Heat requires that an On-board output for heating coil be selected:
select a modulating heating coil (hot water or electric) output (AO).
Step 2 On-board inputs
Select the appropriate on-board inputs to support your terminal box type: single-duct
VAV, dual-duct VAV, or fan-powered VAV. (extract duct VAV is also supported).
In addition, select a room temperature input and a supply air temperature sensor input.
The supply air temperature sensor is required for cascade control of the modulating
heating coil.
Dual Max Heat requires an On-board supply air temperature input: select Supply air
temp. sensor (AI).
Step 3 Room Temperature
Select either a Room operating unit (KNX PL-Link device) or a room temperature AI
input (e.g. NTC 10k or 100k).
For Demand control ventilation, a local CO2 sensor is required this can be provided
by selecting an analog CO2 (e.g. 0-10vdc) or an applicable PL-Link Room unit such as
the QMX3.P74 or QMX3.P70.
