4 Configuration
The Configuration submenus allows you to navigate, view, and engineer different areas of your device.
● Device: Displays general information about the device.

● Field bus: Summarizes the status of the automation station’s available field buses, provides an overview for
direct field bus management and allows you to test data points and log the results.
The Field bus tab only displays when field buses are connected to the automation station, such as TXIO,
Modbus, and Onboard IO.

● Reports: The Field bus and devices report contain detailed information on device configuration along with all
existing field buses.
Reports [➙ 22]
● Assigned devices: Displays information for the devices that are accessible for system control.
Assigned devices is only available for PXC5 controllers.

● Users: Allows you to add, delete and edit user profiles
The Users tab only displays if you have Administrator privileges.

4.1 Device
The Device tab displays general information and specifics about the device.

① Update
Clicking Update takes you to the online Firmware update page.
– You can select the firmware by:
1. Drag-and-drop the file into the dialog box.
2. Click Browse files and select a file.
Once completed, click Upload.
A confirmation displays.
Once the Firmware is uploaded, the device restarts.
