Security Challenges
For the safety and security in stadiums,
it is vital that the number of people and
the flow into and out of an arena is
controlled. This is where mass access
control systems have proven to be par-
ticularly useful. The challenges such
a system should manage can include:
– Protecting people, investments,
business continuity and revenue as
well as venue assets.
– Providing maximum security for the
spectators and controlling people
flow to enhance the visitor experience.
– Securing authorized access to the
different areas of different target audi-
ences, such as athletes, club members,
press, facility management etc.
– Being able to read all technologies for
a range of tickets and badges.
– Integration of various sub-systems
(e.g intelligent video surveillance
CCTV, intrusion detection, fire alarm).
– Complying with international and
regional safety and security standards
as well as the event’s Local Organizing
Committee’s (LOC) regulations.
