4.4 Tool-free commissioning of an operating and monitoring system
Use the workflow in this section to configure and commission a Desigo Control Point operating and monitoring
device and the Operation application.
Note
This workflow includes a basic procedure for integrating data points in the Operation application. For information
on working with integration templates and advanced functions, see the Desigo Control Point Engineering
Manual (A6V11211560).

4.4.1 Configuring the operating and monitoring device
Configuration of the operating and monitoring device includes the following procedures:
● Performing the initial login [➙ 51]
● Using the Commissioning wizard [➙ 52]
● Configuring language support [➙ 54]
● Assigning devices to the operating and monitoring device [➙ 55]
● Enabling Secure HTTP communication [➙ 56]
● Updating the touch panel settings (PXM… touch panel only) [➙ 57]
● Subscribing to the time master [➙ 59]
● Time synchronization of the time master [➙ 59]
4.4.1.1 Performing the initial login
Use the appropriate initial login procedure for your configuration:
● Initial login to a PXM operating and monitoring device using the touch panel
● Initial login using the embedded Web server and a standard Web browser
ⓐ Initial login to a PXM operating and monitoring device using the touch panel
 The touch panel is ON and a network cable is connected.
1. Tap the Orientation icon to select a screen orientation and then tap .
 The Desigo Web login page displays.

1. Connect to the USB port of the operating and monitoring device.
2. Type the IP address 192.168.250.1 in the address bar of a browser.
 The Desigo Web login page displays.
