Field
Description
Local date
Current date in DD.MM.YYYY format. This information can be modified through the device
Properties in ABT-SSA.
Local time
Current local time in HH:MM:SS format. This information can be modified through the device
Properties in ABT-SSA.
Max APDU length accepted
Specifies the maximum length of the APDU. For example, BACnet/IP.
Number of APDU retries
Specifies the number of retries from 1 through 5. The default is 3. This information can be modified
through the device Properties in ABT-SSA.
APDU segment timeout
Specifies the amount of time in milliseconds between retransmission of an APDU segment. The
suggested value is 5000.
APDU timeout
Specifies the timeout value in milliseconds from 1000 through 10000. The default is 3000. This
information can be modified through the device Properties in ABT-SSA.
Max segments accepted
The maximum number of octets that may be contained in a single, indivisible application layer
protocol data unit. The value of this property is greater than or equal to 50. For example, 32.
Segmentation supported
Indicates whether the BACnet device supports segmentation of messages and, if so, whether it
supports segmented transmission, reception, or both. For example, Segmented both.
2.5 Assigning devices to an operating and monitoring device
When connected to a configured operating and monitoring device, you have a central view of the automation
stations that are assigned for system control.
In order to monitor devices through ABT-SSA, they need to be assigned to the operating and monitoring device.
The Assigned devices and Discovered devices structures are located under Settings > Favorite
commissioning.
● The Assigned devices structure displays a list of devices that have been selected to be monitored through
the operating and monitoring device.
For information on assigning devices for monitoring, see the Adding a device to the Assigned devices
structure [➙ 41] section.
● The Discovered devices structure displays a list of devices that were found to be communicating on the
specified network when the most recent Discover command was issued.
For information on issuing a Discover command, see the Refreshing the Discovered devices structure
[➙ 41] section.
To modify the properties of the device discovery, see the Adjusting the parameters for device discovery
[➙ 42] section. For example, you can limit the discovery to the local network and a specific range of device
numbers.
● The Edit features (Select/Copy, Paste and Delete) are used to manage the lists in the Assigned devices
and Discovered devices structures.
