Configure a device with KNX PL-Link
The device is assigned to an engineered KNX PL-Link data point and configured (using the program button on
the device).
The device is unconfigured (factory setting). Reset device to factory setting if needed (i.e. has been
configured in another project).
1. Click for a KNX PL-Link data point.
The Wait… state displays. The automation station waits for a signal from the device (approximately 90
seconds).
2. Go to the device on site.
3. Press the program button on the device (see the device data sheet).
The status display goes to Device is configured.
The device is configured with the device configuration from the automation station.
The device transmits its serial number and version.
The status display changes to Operational.
Note
● If only one device with KNX PL-Link is connected to the network, the device is detected and configured
automatically.
● If a device cannot be identified, it is added to the List of orphan devices on the KNX PL-Link Unconfigured
Web page.

Testing KNX PL-Link data points
The KNX PL-Link bus > Data point test view allows you to test data points from configured KNX PL-Link devices
and log the results (state, comment). Point test carries out On/Off commands.
