3 Alarms
This section provides information and instructions for handling alarms in Desigo
CC.
3.1 Working with Alarms
This section provides step-by-step instructions for some common alarm-handling
tasks in Desigo CC. For background information see Event List and Alarms
Operation Reference [➙ 92].
Perform the procedures in this section as needed.
3.1.1 Opening and Closing Event List
Opening Event List
The Event List is not visible and you want to display it.
1. On the right-hand side of the Summary bar, click Open Event List .
The Event List displays in the main work area of the system screen.
Closing Event List
The Event List displays in the main work area of the system screen, and you
want to close it.
Do one of the following:
– On the Summary bar, click Close Event List .
– On the left side of the Event List header, click .
The Event List is closed, and System Manager displays in its place.

3.1.2 Selecting an Event in Event List (Fast Treatment)
You want to select an event in the list to begin or resume working with it.
NOTE: In some configurations, certain types of events autoselect when they
occur, in which case you will not have to perform this step.
The Event List displays in the main work area of the system screen.
1. From Event List, click the event descriptor of the event that you want to handle.
The event is selected and its event descriptor becomes highlighted:
- The In process by field updates to indicate you are currently handling this
event.
- The Suggested action field indicates the next action you should take.
- The Command field shows any available alarm-handling commands that
you can send.
- If any other event was previously selected, it is automatically deselected
(suspended).
2. If required, you can send alarm-handling commands. See Sending Alarm-
Handling Commands in Fast Treatment or Investigative Treatment [➙ 70].
