2.1.8 Configuring for kiosk graphics on a touch panel
If the site uses a PXM... touch panel to display kiosk graphics, configure the touch panel to allow certain users to
stay logged in.
CAUTION
System access for kiosk user profiles should be restricted to kiosk functions.
This procedure sets up a user profile that never automatically logs out. To prevent
unauthorized access to other system functions, select a User role with restricted
access. Never select the Administrators role for a kiosk user profile.
Complete this procedure in ABT-SSA.
Configuring for kiosk graphics on a touch panel
1. Select Menu, if necessary, and then select Settings > Favorite commissioning > Network port browser
connection.
The properties are displayed.
2. Set Keep user logged in to Yes.
3. Click the down arrowhead in the status bar and then select Manage users.
4. Click Add and complete the fields in the Add new user window. For the User role field:
– Select a role that does not automatically log out.
– Select a role that only has the required access to the Desigo Control Point device. For example, do not
select the Administrators role.
5. Click Add to save the kiosk user account.
The commissioning steps in ABT-SSA are complete.
Possible next step:
Tool-free commissioning of the Operation application
