2.1.6 Updating the Network port for a browser connection (PXM… touch panel)
Prerequisite (PXM
x
0-1 only)
● Complete this prerequisite if you are using a remote connection from a PXM
x
0-1 touch panel to an Desigo
Control Point device. In this case, an http connection must be allowed. Otherwise, a certificate error will occur
after a power cycle.
● If you are using a PXM
x
0.E touch panel, an https connection can be used.
NOTICE
Only use an http connection in a secure environment!
Unprotected physical network access (HTTP) opens the possibility to interrupt or
hijack communication. Unauthorized access to customer sites may result in
system malfunctions or automation station failures.
Complete this prerequisite in ABT Site.
1. In the Discovered devices tab of the Configure and download task, right-click in the row for the Desigo Control
Point device.
2. Select Manually configure.
3. Select the Allow HTTP connection check box and click Configure.
The configuration is applied to the device.
Updating the Network port for a browser connection procedure
Complete this procedure in ABT-SSA.
1. Click the Main menu button, if necessary, and select Settings > Favorite commissioning > Network port
for browser connection.
The network port properties are displayed.
2. Select the Filter to reduce the list of properties.
3. Modify the screen orientation to a defined value.
NOTICE! If the device loses power before you have logged out, the orientation setting will not be saved.
