2 Installing V5.1 Quality Update 1
You want to install the V5.1 Quality Update (QU1) over an existing V5.1
installation.
Apply this Quality Update only to V5.1 systems.
Remarks:
● During the installation of the QU on the target stations, the system is
unmanned as the project is shutdown.
● If you have previously installed on your V5.1 installation, any patches released
from HQ, this QU will overwrite them.
● The QU will not change or update project data, however it is always
recommended to have a recent backup of the project available.
Handling Systems with Multiple Stations
For those systems made up of multiple stations, the recommended installation
order is the following:
1. Install the QU on the Server (or servers in case of distributed systems).
2. Install the QU on FEP or Installed Client stations in any order.
Installing Quality Update 1 in the System
 Copy the Quality Update zip file (DCC_Family_V5.1_QU1.zip) to the target
machine and extract the contents.
 Extract the applicable Brand folder from Brands.zip, for example,
..\DesigoCC_EN\InstallFiles and put it in parallel to GMS folder (by default
DesigoCC_EN Brand folder available in the media.
1. Close Desigo CC Client running on the machine.
2. Open the System Management Console (SMC) and do the following:
– Stop any running project.
– Stop Siemens MNS NDB Service if it is running by selecting the service
and click Stop as shown below.
