8.2.2 Starting and Stopping the XNET Driver
System Manager is in Engineering mode.
The driver is present in the driver list of Server.
You want to start the driver to activate the connection with the fire network
OR
you want to start the driver to support the configuration tasks that require an active driver
OR
you want to stop the communication to perform maintenance operations on the system.
1. Depending whether the driver runs on the Server or FEP station, in Management View of
System Browser, select:
Project > Management System > Servers > Main Server > Drivers > Driver Node
2. Select the driver node.
3. In the Extended Operation tab of the Contextual pane, check the status of the Manager
Status property, which can be:
- Started, if the driver is currently active.
- Stopped, if the driver is not currently active.
4. Depending on the current status, click Start to fully activate or click Stop to fully deactivate
the driver.
NOTE: Use the Start Configuration command to support configuration activities without
activating any real connection to the field. You may need to enlarge the pane to access the
buttons that are located on the right side of the pane.

8.3 Configuring an XNET Field Network
Note:
Refer to the Help Utility for additional information.
System Manager is in Engineering mode.
The XNET network is present in the Field Networks list of the system.
1. Select the XNET Networks node in the Management View of System Browser.
The corresponding Object Configurator displays in the Primary pane.
2. Select XNETImport object configured.
3. Set the desired Block command behavior.
