8.2 Creating the XNET Driver
8.2.1 XNET Driver Configuration
The NCC-2F or SNC Card Driver is successfully installed.
System Manager is in Engineering Mode.
1. In the Management View of System Browser, select:
Project > Management System > Servers > Main Server > Drivers > XNET Driver on server
2. The XNET tab displays in the Primary pane.
3. In the Object Configurator toolbar, click New object , and select New XNET Driver.
4. In the Object Configurator tab that displays, do the following:
a.(Optional) Modify the Description, which automatically displays the same text as the
Name, but allows spaces between words.
b. (Optional) In the Description field, click the Flag icon to display and modify the
description text for all languages configured in the system.
c. Click OK.
NOTE: To avoid difficulties and mistakes in choosing the driver in multi-select lists, do not use the same
description on the Server and FEP stations.
The new driver has been created in the Drivers folder but not started (in the Secondary pane, see
the Manager Status property of the Operation tab.)
- Select the new driver node.
The corresponding node information populates the Primary pane including three tabs: XNET,
XNET Card, and Object Configurator.
Click the XNET tab.
The configuration page displays in the Primary pane. The parameters are organized in multiple
expanders.
Use the arrow on the top-left of each expander to open or close it.
From top to bottom, the parameter sections are the following:
XServer API Information: Read detailed information on the current XNET server’s API.
(Read Only)
Driver Settings: Assign XNET card and address of management station from Zeus and save.
Control Settings: Accept default settings.
