Description
Datamate Base for the APOGEE
®
Automation System
is a software package that provides controller
database backup and restore capabilities for APOGEE
and pre-APOGEE networks. Database transfers and
terminal emulation can be accomplished locally or
remotely over telephone lines using a modem from a
desktop or laptop. The Datamate Base software
package allows building operators to communicate
with any APOGEE or pre-APOGEE Automation Level
Network (ALN) or Floor Level Network (FLN) device
using a single easy-to-use software package. A
Database backed up with Datamate Base can be
stored on any media and kept for permanent storage.

Backup and Restore
Datamate Base allows building operators to perform
field panel backup and restore functions with any field
panel on the ALN and their connected FLN devices.
Users can select one field panel or multiple field
panels to transfer databases.
System Profile
Auto-build System Profile while plugged into a field
panel to get a better view of the network. While the tool
is plugged into an ALN device, you can auto-detect
and build a System Profile that includes FLNs, and
FLN devices just for the ALN device or for the entire
ALN associated with that device.
Terminal Emulation
A computing device running Datamate Base in
terminal mode can function as an operator terminal.
