7.2 Saving the settings to a PC
You can transfer the inverter settings to a PG/PC, or vice versa, the data from a PG/PC to the
inverter.
Requirements
● The inverter power supply has been switched on.
● The Startdrive commissioning tool is installed on the PG/PC.

● PC and inverter are connected with one another via a USB cable or the fieldbus.
Inverter → PC/PG
Procedure with Startdrive
1. Go online.
2. Select "Online" > "Upload device to PG/PC."
3. Back up the project with "Project" > "Save."
4. Wait until Startdrive reports that data backup has been completed.
5. Go offline.
You have backed up the settings with Startdrive.

PC/PG → inverter
Procedure with Startdrive without enabled safety functions
1. Go online.
2. Select "Load to device" > "Hardware and software" from the shortcut menu.
3. Wait until Startdrive reports that loading has been completed.
4. Go offline.
5. Confirm the dialog box that then opens by clicking "Yes" to save the data to the non-volatile
memory of the inverter (Copy from RAM to ROM).
You have transferred the settings from the PG to the inverter with Startdrive.
