Subscription Based Licensing Advantages Switch from Version Based to Subscription Based Licensing: Simpler customer operation Instead of a version check, Cerberus DMS is now using the Subscription Expiration Date to check if a new software release can run or not. All the software components with a release date prior to the current Subscription Expiration Date are allowed to run. Just install the new software and run it Simpler LMS data base License option lines remain stable.
Simpler Cerberus DMS Software Upgrade Program Only an Extension of Subscription Expiration Date is required to run a new Software Release SUR Ordering SUR … No grace period anymore SUbscription Renewal … will extend the Subscription Expiration Date by 1 year • SUR and SUS orders are accepted anytime • It may be more attractive to purchase SUS compared to multiple SUR orders Multiple orders may be required to come back to an active maintenance.
Simplified Ordering of SUR and SUS Example SUR/SUS Reports in LMS Cockpit provide the Site_Value and the Subscription Expiration Date A single line order is sufficient to extend the Subscription Expiration date for this site: • 105 CCA-1-SUR-UNIT will extend the current Subscription Expiration Date by 1 year, i.e. 07.09.2019 • 105 CCA-1-SUS-UNIT will set the Subscription Expiration Date to 1 year after the order, i.e. 12.08.2020 unrestricted © Siemens Switzerland Ltd. 2019 Page 5 V2.0, 12.08.
