Safe, guided operation throughout the
entire event
A built-in assisted treatment function for
alarms guides the operator through a pre-
defined and configurable procedure in a
simple and intuitive way. This leads to a
fast and accurate intervention, reduces
human errors even in stressful situations
and consistently applies procedures and
policies. What’s more, Cerberus DMS
makes notifying easy with the powerful
remote notification feature. Users can
select a variety of notifications including
e-mail, pager or text message to notify
recipients. Wherever you are, you can rest
assured your building is safe.
Keeping track of all events and actions
Cerberus DMS makes reporting simple.
Its robust engine includes a wide range
of standard templates that can be tai-
lored with real-time charts, graphs and
other relevant images and pictures.
Reports can be generated automatically
based on a preset schedule or event trigger.
The Log Viewer provides a log of past
user and system events and activities for
further analysis and investigation. In
addition, the Detailed Log complements
this function with object-focused history
data.
Centralized and single view
Cerberus DMS addresses the multi-disci-
plinary functions of danger management
in buildings and eliminates many of the
challenges of traditional systems. Now
you can see in real time what is occur-
ring throughout your building from one
place, instead of having to access multi-
ple systems. You can leverage synergies
and profit from a new, consolidated view
of your building.
1. The summary bar shows unacknowledged
and total events currently in the system,
grouped by category
2. The object tree displays all devices and
applications; selecting an object immedi-
ately provides detailed information
3. The primary pane shows additional infor-
mation about a selected device – for exam-
ple, the graphical location of a fire detector
in alarm mode
4. The contextual pane provides detailed
data about a selected device, including
its current status, as well as immediate
access to available commands
5. Related items provide easy access to more
information about a selected device, which
is visualized in the secondary pane – for
example, a detailed report, additional
graphics and a data sheet
6. The secondary pane shows detailed infor-
mation about a selected device – for exam-
ple, a real-time camera view of an event
7. The facility layout feature highlights build-
ings when an event occurs, and can be
selected graphically to provide additional
information

Next-generation danger management –
to keep everything under control
Gain a new level of control over your
building’s fire safety and security sys-
tems. Cerberus
TM
DMS, the next-genera-
tion danger management station from
Siemens, centralizes control to deliver
superior protection and efficiency. With
its enhanced graphics and logical inter-
face, Cerberus DMS lets you better man-
age and monitor events throughout your
facility.
Harmonized workflows mean greater
protection and productivity
Cerberus DMS integrates fire safety and
security systems, including access control,
intrusion detection and video surveillance.
In short, it creates harmonized workflows
and allows users to monitor and operate
the system from a single interface. For
instance, the graphic displays and video
recording start automatically as soon as
an alarm is triggered, and operators can
view the live images being recorded on
the monitor to determine whether the
alarm is genuine.
Clear visualization for a quick overview
A powerful vector-based graphic engine
that supports AutoCAD drawings allows
you to navigate through the individual
locations in your facility. The locations
can be displayed in either a hierarchical
tree or a graphical view. This means that
a building, floor, room or individual object
can be quickly located and displayed on
the screen. In the event of an alarm, the
operator can quickly and precisely identify
where it was triggered.
The event list provides a complete and
filtered list of events under control of
the management station. Expanded,
it gives a clear indication of each event’s
source, severity and current status, as
well as custom messages and suggested
action steps. Events can be acknowl-
edged, silenced and reset with a single
mouse-click.
