Required components
For this example, you need the following components:
● A higher-level controller (e.g. S7 series)
● A suitable AS-i master to AS-i spec. 2.1, profile M3
● The motor starter
● Power supply units for the AS-i bus (U
AS-i
) and the AS-i auxiliary voltage (U
AUX
)
● Connection material:
– PLC ⇒ AS-i link
– AS-i branch M12 with a yellow AS-i cable and black auxiliary voltage cable or
AS-i round cable M12 (with auxiliary voltage supply)
– Power connection cable (X1)
– Motor connection cable (X2)
