Adding another Application Shortcut Button to

the Siemens Launch Pad

Adding an application shortcut button to the Siemens Launch Pad allows you to easily

start a commonly-used application (such as the ABT Site) using Launch Pad.

To add another application shortcut button to the Siemens Launch Pad:

1. Click the Add Application button on the Siemens Launch Pad home page.

 The Add Application dialog box displays:

2. In the Title field, enter a name for the application shortcut you want to add.

Recommended character limit is 20 alphanumeric characters.

Example: Type ABT Site.

3. Do one of the following:

– Click the

Browse button next to the Path field.

– Type or paste the file path into the

Path field.

Example: Browse to the .exe file for the ABT Site, or type the file path into the

field.

4. Select the application .exe file or application shortcut .lnk file to be run when the

shortcut button is clicked from Launch Pad.

5. Click Open.

 The

Path field is populated with the file path.

6. Do one of the following:

– Click the

Browse button next to the Icon Path field.

– Type or paste the file path into

the Icon Path field.

NOTE: You can create an icon using your computer's screen capture tool.

7. Select the icon file to be used.

NOTE: File format must be .gif, .jpg or .png. Recommended image size is 256x256

pixels.

Example: Select the ABT Site icon (created using a screen capture tool).
