Deploying Licenses Using the Siemens Launch
Pad
Prerequisite
Purchase and obtain a license file.
Steps
To deploy a license using the Siemens Launch Pad:
1. From the Tools menu, click Deploy License to Panel.
The
License Deployment dialog box displays.
2. In the Hostname/IP field, enter the name or the IP address of the panel to which
you are deploying a license.
3. Enter a valid user name and password.
4. Click Browse to browse to the license file location. The application automatically
filters for the .lic file type.
5. Choose the appropriate license file.
NOTE: Some licenses will coldstart the panel for activation.
6. Click Open.
The status message displays. The license deployment may take a few minutes.
