Busy Override
Busy override allows you to join a conversation on a busy extension
number. It is intended for high priority and emergency internal calls
and requires a special COS. Ask your system administrator if your
telephone has been assigned this COS.
Note:
Busy override does not interrupt a privacy call or a telephone
in do-not-disturb (DND) mode, unless you have a DND
override class marked in your COS.
Break through to a busy extension number as follows:
1. Listen for the busy signal.
2. Dial .
3. Listen for the override tone; both parties on the line also hear the
tone. You are joined in a three-way conversation.
4. Begin speaking. A single beep tone sounds periodically until the
overriding party hangs up.
