Description

Powers Inline Air Filters remove particulates, aerosols, vapor and petroleum-based oils

from compressed air used within pneumatic control systems. Coalescing type filtration

efficiency and Dispersed Oil Particulate efficiency are rated up to 99.999% (0.2 micron).

Combined oil absorption and mechanical separation makes them highly useful for

maintaining clean airflow within pneumatic control systems.

Features of the Powers Air Filters include a unique, visible filtration element which

changes color from white to red as oil is absorbed. A quick, visual inspection tells when

the filter element should be replaced. Filter life depends on maintenance of the air

system.

Application

When using the Powers Air Filter, follow these guidelines:

• Flow. Do not exceed the maximum recommended flow rating for this filter. If the

rating is exceeded, filter efficiency will be considerably reduced.

• Flow Direction. Ensure that the airflow through the filter corresponds with the flow

arrow ( → ) on the filter label for proper filter operation and long life.

• Filter Location. Since filters must be serviced periodically, they should be located

in a "conspicuous" area. Avoid locating them above false ceilings, inside panels,

and so on.

Very few filters last more than twelve months. Factors influencing filter life are high flow rates, high compressor rpm, high compressor operating temperature and worn compressor piston rings. These factors allow more oil to enter the air system and reduce the life of the filter.
