ISDN bridge

IOLIN

The ISDN bridge is used to interconnect Ethernet LAN segments (SICLIMAT X

terminal bus) via Euro ISDN.

This enables remote SICLIMAT X operator stations to be linked to the

management station via ISDN (in-house or public network).

Application

The IOLINK supports the standard bridging techniques of all protocols.

The following types of connection are supported on the local network (LAN) side.

• AUI (10 Base 5)

• UTP (10 Base T)

• BNC (10 Base 2) using an adaptor between AUI and BNC

On the ISDN (WAN) side, the IOLINK is connected to an ISDN connection (2B+D

channel). Up to 64 kbits per second can be transferred per B-channel.

If required, the two B-channels can be bundled. This provides optimum data

throughput.

Configuration The IOLINK can be configured via a local V.24 (RS232) management port or with Telnet over the network. Bridging The IOLINK supports BCP standard multi-protocol bridging (standard bridging of all protocols).
