Three Zone Loop Default Configuration
By default, the Three Zone controller comes configured to operate a three RTS to
valve application. The default configuration includes the following connections:
Room Temperature Sensors 1-3 and PIDs 1-3
Space Temperature provides the process variable input to PIDs 1, 2 and 3,
respectively
Setpoint provides setpoint input to PIDs 1, 2 and 3, respectively
Conversions
Space Temperature Function uses all three space temperatures as inputs
Bypass Function uses all three bypass signals as inputs
PIDs and Outputs
PID 1 outputs to AO1 and Motor 1 (DO1-DO2)
PID 2 outputs to AO2 and Motor 2 (DO3-DO4)
PID 3 outputs to AO3 and Motor 3 (DO5-DO6)
Optional Functions
Duct Temperature Sensor
An optional duct temperature sensor may be connected to the Predator controller
for the purpose of monitoring the source temperature.
Room Humidity Sensor
Humidity control can be accomplished using the TALON RH and RH/T sensors. The
RH sensors wire into the Predator inputs as a 4-20 ma signal. The RH/T sensors
require two separate wires that go into the Predator inputs as 0-10 Volts dc
signals.
Flow Calculation
The Predator calculates flow from a pressure measurement. This feature includes
a selectable duct area and sensor gain constant.
Voltage Sensing
The Predator can use any DC voltage range between 1 to 10 Vdc and current
range between 0 to 20 mA.
Lighting Control Relay
The Predator controller operates maintained contacts to switch lighting control
relays. This is useful in those instances where lighting control is desired, but a
lighting control panel with a LonTalk interface is either not present or not feasible.
