Base station at a glance
Using the keys on the base station, you
can operate the integrated answering
machine and register the handset to the
base station.
1 Registration/Paging key
Press briefly: search for handsets "Paging",
see page 41.
Register handsets and DECT devices (press
and hold), see page 40
2 On/Off key: activate/deactivate answering
machine.
Lights up: answering machine is activated.
Flashes: at least one new message is
present.
During message playback:
3 Delete current message.
4 Skips to next message (press once) or next
message but one (press twice).
5 Playback/Stop key
playback new messages from answering
machine or cancel the playback (press
briefly),
playback new and old messages (press and
hold),
6 Adjust volume during message playback:
ð = quieter; ñ = louder.
While an external call is being signalled:
adjust ringtone volume.
7 Skips back to beginning of message (press
once) or to previous message (press twice).
Please note:
u If the answering machine is being oper-
ated from a handset or if it is recording
a message, it cannot be operated from
the base station.
u If you deactivate the answering
machine but the On/Off key continues
to flash, there is at least one new mes-
sage on the answering machine that
you have not yet played back.
