Parameters
Parameter Reference
Parameters are identified by name and organized into function groups. See
LCD menu
structure
on page 147 for a chart.
Parameters accessible via the local push buttons or handheld programmer are preceded
by a number. Parameters not preceded by a number are accessible only via remote
operation.

1. Quick Start
Wizards provide step-by step procedures to configure the device, filter out false echoes,
and upload and download parameters and firmware to the optional display for easy
configuration of multiple LR560s.
1.1. Quick Start Wizard
The Quick Start wizard provides an easy step-by-step procedure to configure the device
for a simple application.
Press RIGHT arrow twice to open the Wizards menu. Select a wizard, press RIGHT arrow
to open the first step, and follow the instructions.

Notes:
Parameter names and menu structure are almost identical for SIMATIC PDM
and the local display interface (LDI).
Default settings in the parameter tables are indicated with an asterisk (*)
unless explicitly stated.
To enter Program mode using the device buttons, press . Press to return
to Measurement mode.
To enter PROGRAM mode/return to Measurement mode via the handheld
programmer, press .
For Quick Access to parameters via the handheld programmer, press Home
, then enter the menu number, for example:

Notes: Do not use the Quick Start wizard to modify individual parameters. (Perform cus-
tomization only after the Quick Start has been completed.)
In Navigation mode, ARROWs navigate the menu in the
direction of the arrow.
Press RIGHT arrow to open Edit Mode, or to save a
modification.
