Hardware Reset
Hardware reset is available to clear the administrator username, password and restore the net-
work setting default (DHCP Automatically assign IP address) proles. This procedure does not
delete the data from the hard disks.
Make sure the OMNINAS is powered on before starting a hardware reset.
1. Locate the Reset button on the back of the device.
2. Insert a thin tool and press the button in for three seconds.

3. After a beep sounds, release the button.
The system reboots.
4. Log in at this time. See Connecting Your OMNINAS.
Updating Firmware
Firmware Update provides an easy method to update the system’s rmware.
CAUTION:
Do not power down or disconnect the power cord during a rmware update to prevent dam-
age to the system.
Before you begin, download the latest rmware from the following site:
http://global.shuttle.com/download/download
From the support site, select your OMNINAS type and select your respective rmware update.
Download it to a local folder. The rmware le is packaged in a compressed format. It is not nec-
essary to unzip the le.
